Lorain County Metro Parks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts are pleased to announce they will be hosting Theatre Camps at French Creek Nature Center for ages 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 and 13 and up who are interested in acting, singing, dancing, and theatre tech.  French Creek Nature Center is located at 4530 Colorado Ave in Sheffield Village. 

Theatre Camps will include learning the aspects of the making of a theatrical production including acting, theatre tech, audition techniques, and more. All the camps will end with a production.  Some that are already scheduled are “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” and “Hansel and Gretel.” Campers will also have other opportunities to perform at the Showcase of TrueNorth at Lakeview Park on June 20 and ArtsFest in Avon Lake on July 4th.

 

AGES 9-12 THEATRE CAMP

            July 6-July 24

9:00am-Noon. Includes all the details that go into a theatrical production including story dramatization, costume making, character development and audition coaching. At the end of the camp, campers will perform Hansel and Gretel. Tuition: $275

07/06/2009 - Picnic in the Park & Sensory Circle

Join the Library's children's department ladies for lunch at the nearby Indian Hollow Reservation on Parsons Road from noon - 2 p.m. at Pavilion #1 for a GREAT program and lunch. Bring your own family's bagged lunch and drinks. After lunch, youngsters of preschool through grade 2 ages will sit in a "Sensory Circle" and explore nature's creativity by using their imaginations and five senses. The group will be led by Mary, a Metro Parks Naturalist. Registration is required. Register by calling the Library at 440-926-3317, or by stopping in the Children's Department.
