Celebrate one of summer’s most beautiful and delicate creatures, the butterfly, with an afternoon of fun, family-friendly and informational activities at French Creek Nature Center’s Butterfly Festival on July 11 from Noon to 4 p.m. 

Stop by for crafts, butterfly identification, hikes, and of course, the Butterfly Garden!  Local vendors will be on hand with plants available for purchase to attract butterflies to your home garden.  Join the Ohio Lepidopterists, Ohio Prairie Nursery and other local vendors for information and more.

Schedule of Events:

Butterfly Garden Tours – 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm

Butterfly Hikes-12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm

Presentations:

1 pm – Sustainable Landscaping – Bob Kehres from Ohio Prairie Nursery

2 pm – Ohio Lepidopterists presentation on Ohio Butterflies

3 pm – Butterfly movie in Movie Theater
