The Ohio Supreme Court ruled that private clubs such as American Legion and the VFW are not exempt from the smoking ban. Come on now, those clubs have paying members...they should have some perks for belonging to the place. The law that was passed on smoking said that private clubs were exempt. But they defined private clubs as a place that has no employees and no patrons that are not members. Where is such a place?!? If you ask me the government needs to stop trying to make our personal choices for us. I understand that non smokers should be able to go out in public and enjoy themselves without secondhand smoke. But smokers should have the right to go out in public and enjoy their personal decision to be a smoker! Where is the happy medium??
