So I recently went on vacation to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. I have been there before when I was younger with my family but I went with friends this time. We were all at least 21 years old. Keep that in mind. Anyway, on the way down my car broke down and after my boyfriend tried to fix it for 6 hours in 110 degree heat in Virginia it still wasn't working. We found a place to park it and headed to the Outer Banks to check into our rental house. When we got there they informed us that because we were not a "family" we had to put down a $1,000 security deposit!!! They also would be making unannounced visits to check on us and reserved the right to kick us out if deemed necessary. There was also forest fires in N.C. and at night we dealt with gagging smoke. We did enjoy the beach and the pool and some alcoholic refreshment but my biggest complaint is that the rental company did not find it necessary to ask questions like age and whether we were a family before we arrived. Therefore pretty much forcing us to give them another $1,000!!!! Oh and.....2 weeks later and my car is still in the shop!!!! What is your vacation horror story??

I will NEVER camp again! Two couples went camping at Mohican for the weekend. We each brought our own tents. Well....I hadn't been camping since I was 10 years old, so I took that tent from my parent's house. When we got to Mohican we set up our tents.
My tent was a lot bigger when I was 10-years old!
Let's just say that my feet were sticking out of the tent and that you couldn't even sit up inside it!
The other couple had a two-story townhouse with an in-law suite and a walk-out basement! No, but seriously their tent was made for adults.
It DOWNPOURED all day and night. I was too proud to abandon my dingy tent and move-on-up with the Jeffersons, so we were miserable!
We ended up sleeping in my car once the tent started to leak. But, sleeping in bucket seats in a Mustang convertible while rain pounds the soft-top of the car is just as bad as sleeping in a kid's tent.
WE WILL NEVER CAMP AGAIN!
Now I remember why I dropped out of the Cub Scouts and joined summer baseball!
